Our Legal Responsibilities

Most of our stories are sourced directly from the public and news articles are always accompanied with the author's byline.

Errors and omissions are the responsibility of those submitting articles and press releases for publication. However, we will not publish articles that are clearly false, unsupported or illegal. As a small community run website we are unable to check all facts fully and recommend that other news outlets check stories thoroughly before republishing.

If you have any concerns regarding any of our published content please Contact Us. We are more than happy to correct errors and omissions or publish follow up information where appropriate.

We have no agenda other than the free dissemination of accurate information. We will remove content that is shown to be misleading or inaccurate and provide follow up clarification to redress the situation. All stories appear on our front page, Twitter feed and Facebook page so there is no burying or hiding of apologies or corrections in less visible places.

Submitters responsibilities

Those submitting articles should be aware that they have a responsibility to check their facts, provide supporting evidence for their claims and to provide equal and balanced coverage of all sides of an argument.

Submitters (and authors if different) may leave themselves open to legal action from those mentioned in their articles if they make false or unsubstantiated claims.
