It’s now only 2 weeks
until the 43rd Sevenoaks Music and Arts Festival takes place. The
Festival kicks off on Saturday 23rd
June with an explosion of events in the town and runs until Sunday
8th July.
On Saturday 23rd
June, which is traditionally known as Festival Fair day, there will
be a unique opportunity to explore a new adventure ‘Colourscape.’
This is going to be based on the Vine, which is a spectacular
experience of sound and colour. In Blighs we will have our ever
popular schools stage with children from around Sevenoaks showing us
their talents. Live entertainment will also be on offer outside the
Blackboy Pub, Nonna Cappuccini’s and Marks and Spencer. Especially
for our younger Fair goers, there is going to be an amazing lifelike
Polar Bear arriving in Sevenoaks for the children to meet and be
photographed with. There will also be opportunities to take part in
a treasure hunt, watch puppet shows, paint their own square in a
massive piece of art organised by Kent College and lots more.
In the coming weeks I will
be highlighting events from the festival to give you a taste of what
you can experience. There will be Theatre productions, Art
Exhibitions, Comedians and a variety of Music genres on show to
enjoy.
